Buffalo Wild Wings
I don't know about y'all but my favorite sports bar is Buffalo Wild Wings or what is commonly known as B-Dubs®. They have multiple large screen TVs throughout the restaurant so you can watch any game you want and if you don't see your team of choice then all you have to do is ask. Along with wall to wall sports, they have a great selection of food ranging from great appetizers to share with your friends, sandwiches, burgers and their popular boneless or traditional chicken wings with a selection of their famous sauces. They have 1,175 restaurants around the world with the closest one to High Point University only about a 13 min drive from campus which is located at 5836 Samet Dr, High Point, NC 27265. Their hours are 11:00 am until 1:00 am every day except Sunday when they close at midnight.
Aside from the reliably good food, what B-Dubs has been recognized for is their variety of specialty sauces which range from sweet to burn your tongue hot! They are conveniently color coded from green to blazing red so there are no mistakes in the degree of heat that you might want! The wide variety of choices include 'Sweet BBQ', 'Teriyaki', 'Mild', 'Medium' and ';Spicy Garlic', to the eat at your own risk 'Blazin', but there are many more options as they have a total of 21 different flavors. Although it is fun to go with friends and share, my favorite out of all of them is Teriyaki because it is sweet with a hint of spice. And believe it or not I have friends who like really hot wings so they opt for the Blazin wings every time. Now because my blog is about budget friendly options for college students, lets talk menu options. At BWW the menu allows for you to pay for the amount of wings your stomach and wallet can handle. They have a Traditional Snack(5), Small(10), Medium(15), and Large(20) or the boneless wings Snack(8), Small(12), Medium(18), and Large(24), ranging in price from $6.49 to $19.49. The price is average in comparison to other sports bars but one thing you can be sure of, no matter which sauce or the amount of wings you get, traditional or boneless, the wings from B-Dubs are the best wings I have every had.
Now, if wings aren't your thing, they have many other options that are packed with flavor including burgers, wraps and a variety of specialty sandwiches. My favorites though are their burgers and the boneless wings. If you are eating with a large group of friends, I would suggest the House Sampler to split with everyone as it gives the most bang for the buck with a great variety including ultimate nachos, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and of course boneless wings with your choice of dressings and sauces. Even though Buffalo Wild Wings can get a little more expensive depending on what you order, they make it up in quality of their food, quantity for sharing and the amazing staff and experience of the game night venue. Maybe I will see you at the next Panther game night!
